We are committed to making a positive impact and investing in the long-term vitality of the communities where we operate data centers. One way we do this is through our annual Data Center Community Action Grants program , which provides direct funding to schools, nonprofits, and community organizations that benefit local communities.
Today, we’re announcing the recipients of this year’s grants. The organizations receiving grants empower people to put technology to use for community benefit, build sustainable communities, and help improve local science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education.
We are proud to support the White House AI Youth Education Pledge , and this year, many grants are directly aligned with this important initiative and focus on AI education and workforce development. Innovating Farming Practices in Northeast Louisiana For example, the Louisiana 4-H Foundation, which engages young people with hands-on educational experiences to build character and leadership skills, is using drone technology and smart boards to increase virtual training access for students interested in agriculture and automated land management careers.
The group is ensuring that the workforce in Northeast Louisiana remains competitive as the farming industry shifts toward a more data-driven future. “Through 4‑H leadership opportunities, STEM exploration, healthy living education, and life‑skill development, youth are gaining the confidence and tools they need to grow and lead in their communities.
This investment will bridge technology gaps, strengthen wellness knowledge, and prepare the next generation of innovators and agricultural leaders,” said Louisiana State University AgCenter Parish Chair Brittney Newsome.
